ABOUT
Hello, my name is Kaya!
After 11 years of experience in the world of coffee, I felt the itch for change. So I asked myself where I wanted to be as a professional. After much consideration I decided to go back to school for my BA in Communication and Design. I enrolled in Fort Lewis College, where I’ve spent the last 2 years developing these skills.
My dream job is to be a Communications Manager for a nonprofit or public land management organization in Southwest Colorado. I aim to spread my love for community and sustainability though memorable campaigns, website development, everyday content creation, grant proposals, and volunteer coordination.
In recent years, I have designed logos and websites for local businesses, created style guides, advertisements, both digital and print. I have also transformed hand draw images into vectors using Adobe Illustrator. The vectors were used to engrave large sheets of metal with a laser cutter, so theirs precision was essential
…and fine art, just for fun.
In my free time, I experiment with different forms of jewelry. From beading to silversmithing, and most recently, stained glass.

My MISSION
I aim to showcase the resilience that exist within small businesses by creating and maintaining platforms for them to connect with people that share their passions and interests.
I specialize in Communications, Marketing, and design. This includes but is not limited to: website development, content creation, branding, and marketing.
